Let there be Peace on Earth

… and between brothers.

Tonight we rode the Metro into DC to see the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse. While I’d like to say it was a joyous time of family togetherness and Christmas spirit, it truly wasn’t. Both boys whined and complained and fought, Patrick yelled, and I wondered why we bother. Hmmm… Even so, the lights were beautiful, and the view of the National Christmas Tree standing in front of the Washington Monument, surrounded by the individual state trees was lovely.

We did manage to snap a couple of photos between the name-calling and punching; the faces in this one look the least pained.

Ah, Christmas with little boys… who would “rather be home building Legos!” (their words); what a delight!
