Run, Run as Fast as You Can!
Ryan and Connor are trying out cross country running this Fall. They ran in their first race this weekend. Ryan ran a 3K. Connor ran… ummm, walked… ummm, dallied along… a 2K… until the very end when the cheering crowd finally convinced him to pick up the pace and run, allowing us to get one photo of him looking like a champion. Run, Little Bean, Run!
The only thing missing in the photo of Connor: his running buddy, Victoria. In typical Connor-fashion, he has befriended an eight-year-old little girl on his team. During practices, Connor and Victoria can most often be seen running hand-in-hand. Yes, that’s right, they run holding hands. Nothing I say has convinced them they’d have an easier time just running next to one-another.
During the race, however, it seems Victoria grew tired of waiting for Connor to pick up the pace and so, she took off without him. She finished long before Connor entered the home-stretch and broke into a run. Connor didn’t seem to mind being left in Victoria’s wake though. Today at practice, Connor and Victoria were back to running hand-in-hand.
