Gratituesday: Sounds of Home
Tonight I am grateful for the peaceful sounds of home.
The boys and I are visiting Grandma and Grandpa this week. As I sit at my computer this evening, the house is quiet, the windows are open, and the night is filled with a chorus of tree frogs, Upland Chorus Frogs to be specific, hundreds and hundreds of Upland Chorus Frogs… tiny frogs that are so vocal throughout the Spring and Summer in North-Western New Jersey that I can hear them from 279 miles away in Virginia… through the phone lines. But there is nothing like experiencing them first hand, like experiencing them from home, the home of my childhood.
